Pink House has been fortunate to secure funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to support vulnerable people during the Corona Virus. We will be supplying regular crafts activities to support adults during these difficult times.
About the project
Discover how we are working with Corby, Oundle and Rushden Libraries, as well as retirement homes in Oundle as well as Oundle District Care Committee to support individuals during the Corona Virus.
Crafts for isolation
At Pink House Arts we know many people are struggling during the current Corona Virus Pandemic. Many older adults hasn’t been out for months, either too anxious or worried about what will happen if they venture out of their homes. To help ease anxieties we are providing craft activities during these difficult times.
We have spoken with several local organisations about how the Corona Virus is making life difficult for older adults. Based on these discussions we will be working with Corby, Oundle and Rushden Libraries, and residential care homes in Oundle. We will also be assisting Oundle District and Care Committee.. Similar to our Craft It Bags initiative we will deliver bespoke crafts and activities to local residents in the locality.
National Lottery Community
We applied for funding from the National Lottery to implement our Craft Creative initiative, working on the same principles as our Craft It Bags Project.
The National Lottery loved our idea and granted us funding to create a range of bespoke activities for individuals struggling with the effects of the pandemic. Since September we have delivered activities bags to Library at Home to You customers, retirement homes, our craft club members as well as Parishioners of local churches. We are now delivering 54 activity bags each month to support the vulnerable in our community.
